

Dr. Mark Chofla, DO - Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Therapist
Dr. Mark Chofla is a board-certified psychiatrist who also provides psychotherapy. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California at Davis in 1998. He received his medical degree in 2002 from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his psychiatric residency in 2006 at the Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Medical Center.

Dr. Chofla has served as a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, Davis Medical Center and School of Medicine. He is licensed to practice medicine in California, Oregon, Arizona, Alaska, Florida, New York, and Washington. Through Empathy Therapy, he offers psychiatric care and psychotherapy entirely by telehealth across these states.

Dr. Chofla brings 27 years of clinical experience and over 15 years of telehealth practice to his work. His approach combines psychotherapy and medication management, with attention to cultural context and respect for confidentiality. He also provides executive life coaching to professionals and creatives.
