Meet Dr. Mark Chofla
Dr. Mark Chofla is a board-certified psychiatrist and physician who completed his specialty residency training in 2006 at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California at Davis in 1998, Dr. Chofla earned his medical degree in 2002 from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Chofla has also given back to others as a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California Davis Medical Center and School of Medicine. Passionate about using the latest technological advances to reach all California, Oregon, Arizona, New York, Alaska, and Washington state communities, Dr. Chofla founded Empathy Therapy to deliver full statewide telehealth by providing psychiatric medical treatment and counseling.
Utilizing over 26 years of counseling experience, Dr. Chofla believes we all have the capacity for growth and healing at any age. He performs respectful psychotherapy with empathy in addition to careful medication management. As a physician executive and integrative psychiatrist, Dr. Chofla administers executive life coaching to many professionals and creatives. With a non-judgmental approach and appreciation for cross-cultural dynamics, he also believes confidentiality is paramount in treatment.
Dr. Chofla enjoys sipping tea while spending quality time with others. He also values our connection with nature for his own personal health balance. For his own personal well-being, he appreciates the family dog being his running coach during daily jogs.
