At Empathy Therapy, we believe the moment you decide to reach out for help is meaningful. It takes courage to even think about booking a therapy or psychiatry appointment. That’s why we don’t believe in putting people on a long waitlist once they’ve taken that first step.

We Prioritize Accessibility

Mental health support should be accessible. If you’re struggling, waiting weeks for your first appointment can feel discouraging or even overwhelming. We intentionally structure our schedule with flexibility, so there’s often room for new patients without delay. This is part of our core philosophy: to meet people where they are, when they’re ready.

We Can Create a Waitlist—But We Choose Not To

We can create a waitlist, but we’ve made a conscious decision not to rely on one. Instead, we design our schedule flexibly so that new patients can often be seen without delay. This approach reflects our commitment to accessibility, responsiveness, and care that meets you when you’re ready—not after weeks of waiting.

Empathy Isn’t Just in Our Name

Dr. Chofla founded Empathy Therapy with a simple but powerful belief—care should be human, responsive, and deeply respectful. That means designing a system that doesn’t leave people waiting. Whether you’re seeking talk therapy, medication management, or both, we aim to offer you options quickly without making you chase them down.

How We Make It Work

We don’t just say we avoid waitlists—we build our practice around it. Our online booking system allows patients to find the soonest available time that works for them. Many people are able to book an appointment within the same week they reach out. And if something does fill up quickly, we do our best to offer alternative times without delay.

Support Starts with a Simple Step

We know that reaching out can feel vulnerable. So, we do our part to ensure the process doesn’t make it harder. No waitlists. No gatekeeping. Just care that respects your timing, needs, and capacity for growth.
